Nathalie Kingdon
About the artist:
Nathalie Kingdon is a London based French artist specialising in screen-printing.
Her work has evolved around the theme of summer inspired by the South of France where she comes from, while most of it conveys a feeling of nostalgia related to the seventies aesthetic of her childhood. Her approach is both intuitive and playful and is reflected in her creative process: images collected from diverse sources of inspiration, such as French cinema and television series or found photographic archives of the 60s and 70s related to pop culture, are carefully combined with geometric patterns and pixelated forms. The artist is most interested in the new narratives that eventually emerge from this process within the frame of the print. She has developped both abstract and figurative body of works.
